The Weekly 2000AD Preview – Prog

Published On June 25, 2018 | By Richard Bruton | Comics, The Weekly 2000AD

Out this week – 27th June, all behind that Brendan McCarthy cover where Deadworld, just for one moment, gets that little brighter!

As for the innards of the thing…

There’s a new one-off Judge Dredd strip, where Rory McConville and a returning Dave Taylor on art bring us one of those tech gone wrong tales. Always a pleasure to see the Euro/Moebius influenced stylings of Taylor in 2000AD once more.

There’s further instalments of Skip Tracer, The Fall Of Deadworld, and Durham Red, with new artist Lee Carter substituting for the injured Ben Willsher. And finally, replacing the hilarious Survival Geeks in the Prog, it’s the return of The Order by Kek-W and John Burns. Can’t really say it’s one I’ve ever warmed to, but we’ll give it the old college try this time round.

JUDGE DREDD: INTEGRATION – Rory McConville and Dave Taylor

SKIP TRACER: HEAVY IS THE HEAD – James Peaty and Paul Marshall

THE ORDER: THE NEW WORLD – Kek-W and John Burns

DURHAM RED: BORN BAD – Alec Worley and Lee Carter

THE FALL OF DEADWORLD – Kek-W and Dave Kendall
