This weekend, Saturday 7th of July, marks the third Small Press Day. Across the UK and Ireland small press and Indy comickers will be taking part in events to celebrate out vibrant small press culture, in conjunction with local comic stores and libraries, including several of our stores. It’s a terrific way to highlight new and upcoming talent and our terrific Indy comics scene, for readers to get to talk to the creators and see the comics, and hopefully buy some to support those creators.

Forbidden Planet International in Dublin will be in the Fumbally Exchange (5 Dame Lane) from 11am to 6pm, FPI Glasgow will be in the city’s lovely Gallery of Modern Art (very approriate!) from 11am to 4pm, FPI Wolverhampton will be running their Small Press Day from around 9am to 5.30pm, our Nostalgia & Comics crew will be celebrating with a brace of local creators from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm, and Forbidden Planet Edinburgh will be in the George Washington Browne room in Central Library on George IV Bridge from 12 noon to 4pm. Please do come along if you are in any of these cities and help support a great event that promotes cool Indy comic creators and their works, and grab a chance to buy some very cool comics!
