Lorenzo Etherington breaks a UK comics Kickstarter record!

Published On April 5, 2018 | By Richard Bruton | Comics

At the time of writing this, Lorenzo Etherington’s Kickstarter for How To When You Draw, has raised £2220,074, with 26 hours to go. It’s pretty much bound to break through the £225, 000 barrier. This makes it by far the biggest pledged UK comics Kickstarter project. (In fact, while I’ve been writing this, I’ve had to keep going back to change that total!)

The How To Think When You Draw strips have been appearing in The Phoenix for quite a while, and it’s great to see them collected together this way. You can get hold of many of the strips with their free online “How To” guides. Anyone who’s been following the FPI Blog and our coverage of both Lorenzo and Robin Etherington’s work in The Phoenix will know just how talented the pair are.

How To Think When You Draw is a 200-page hardcover, and launches later in 2018. And as part of the Kickstarter campaign, there’s also the chance to get hold of the 600-page Deluxe Collection Part 3, with even more of Etherington’s great art and tutorials. Plus, you can get copies of  The Art of Stranski, another 100-page hardback.
