Last week we ran a story about the first UK Comic Convention, 50 years ago this August, as organised by ex-Nostalgia & Comics owner, Phil Clarke, and Steve Moore, in Birmingham 1968.

This week it’s a pleasure to share the news of Fanscene, a massive 300+ pages of work to celebrate the UK comics scene. Congratulations to David Hathaway-Price for putting the whole thing together, a great piece of work and all available for free.

You can download the entire 324-pages of Fanscene here (308MB):

Thanks to Lew Stringer for the heads up.

Contributors include; Alan Moore, Dez Skinn, John Freeman, Lew Stringer, Nigel Kitching, and so many more. There’s also a fabulous interview by Mike Conroy with Phil Clarke. Go download it now.
