It’s time for Alex Fitch to fill us in on details of his first Panel Borders show of 2018; as ever check the Panel Borders site for more details and to access a pile of previous shows in podcast form:

Panel Borders: Music and Comics, on Resonance FM at 5.30pm, Wednesday 3rd January, podcast afterwards on Panel Borders

In a pair of interviews recorded in front of a live audience, Panel Borders investigates the work of a trio of creators who have an interest in combing music and comic book art. At Thought Bubble Festival, Alex Fitch talks to My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way about writing such comics as Doom Patrol, The Umbrella Academy and The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.

(the new Doom Patrol by Way and Derington, cover art by Bolland, published DC/Young Animal)

Also, at Caption 2017, cartoonist The Surreal McCoy and musician DJ Food discuss their projects The Wolf of Baghdad and The Search Engine, the former a wordless graphic novel set to Arabic music by 3Ayin, and the latter an album with art by 2000AD artist Henry Flint.
