Merveille does Hitchcock

On his Facebook page, Belgian illustrator David Merveille recently announced a series of splendid new posters that he did for Alfred Hitchcock’s classic The Trouble With Harry. The poster is published by Mad Duck Posters, and will join their Hitchcock line that already contains equally amazing work by fellow Belgian illustrator Jack Durieux (of Nautilus Art Prints) and Brit-living-in-France Jonathan Burton.

Even though the posters are clearly Merveille’s work, they also introduce some new elements, most particularly in the colouring and the shading. Exciting!

More new work by Merveille has been announced by Swiss publisher NordSüd, which will bring his Monty Python’s Silly Walks, a celebration of one of the more iconic scenes from Flying Circus, with John Cleese’s civil servant popping up in the most hilarious of circumstances.
