Damn you, 2016, another much beloved entertainer gone. Gene Wilder – that face, that absolutely pitch perfect sense of comedic timing. Stir Crazy, The Producers, Willy Wonka and, for my money, two of the funniest films of all time, Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles.

Nowhere special… I always wanted go there...”

RIP, Gene, you made so many of us laugh for so many years. You leave us, but the films, the smiles and the laughter remain and someone, somewhere will just be discovering those movies for the first time.
