Fund this: Save Our Souls

Good chum of the blog, cartoonist David Ziggy Greene (creator of the superb Scene & Heard in Private Eye – the collected edition was one of my favourite reads of last year) has come together with some other excellent talent for a new publication he is editing, Save Our Souls, “a stunning new magazine featuring written articles by brilliant writers and journalists alongside some of the best short comics and illustration you can find.”

Save Our Souls aims to be a proper magazine of comics and articles from hand-picked contributors and – rather importantly, I think – it aims to pay the writers and artists for their work, not do it for free (because too many places expect that rather too often from creative talent). Given a cartoonist with David’s international rep editing and some of the other contributors involved – Fumio Obata, Mark Stafford, Verity Glass and more – I reckon this would be pretty damned interesting reading. If you can, give them some support on their fundraiser then please do, and of course you can help by spreading the word around too.
