PHOENIX COMIC FESTIVAL 2 LOGO

The second annual Phoenix children’s comic festival is happening this May Day weekend – Saturday 3rd May at the Oxford Story Museum.

“Phoenix Fest” features art and events from many familiar names to readers of the Phoenix and great comics in general, with confirmed events from Adam Murphy, Gary Northfield, Jamie Smart, Laura Ellen Anderson, Jamie Littler, Neill Cameron, The Etherington Brothers, Matt Baxter and Nick Ward. But no doubt the day itself will see more unexpected guests.

Last years event sounded great fun, and thanks to reports from both Sarah McIntyre and Neill Cameron, I can say it looked fun as well… here’s a few from Sarah featuring Neill Cameron’s huge wall of awesome comics jam…

Tickets are now on sale. It’s a somewhat unusual system, requiring you to chose a session to visit (morning, early pm, late pm) and then chose your workshop or storytelling tickets. Full details at the Phoenix site. If we weren’t McBusted bound that weekend we’d be there.
