Best Cover EVER? – the return of Michael Molcher…

Published On November 22, 2014 | By Richard Bruton | Best Cover EVER?, Comics

Every week we ask someone to pick a cover they love and tell us why they love it. And for that week it becomes the best cover ever. No arguing. No debate. For seven whole days that IS the Best Cover Ever. Then next Saturday it gets deposed, as there’s never really going to be a Best Cover Ever? is there? (you can find every previous one here.)

This week it’s the return of Michael Molcher, PR supremo for Tharg the Mighty at 2000AD. Last time he picked Prog 93 from ’78, this time something more up to date…

1834

2000AD Prog 1834, 2013, cover by Henry Flint (Zombo)

Prog 1834 – could you get a more 2000 AD cover than this? The head of the zombie president of the United States impaled onto a robot body and accompanied by a parody of Simon Cowell controlling a large phallic robot with a laser sword.

If those words don’t want you to read Zombo by Al Ewing and Henry Flint then you’re either dead inside or spend your days floating in an isolation tank.
