Upcoming: Grinning Masks and finding Shuggoth…

Ryan Taylor’s The Grinning Mask has managed but 2 issues in more than two years, but the issues we did see we’re good, slices of weird horror with lots of creeping promise, as we ventured into a little village in middle England and explore a little bit of the local folklore, complete with its very own mask wearing bogey-man of old.

I thought it was pretty good (reviews #1, #2), good enough for me to be pleased to be able to tell you that Ryan’s been in touch with news that The Grinning Mask #3 is at the printers, and should be ready for the forthcoming Bristol Expo on the 11th/12th May.

“I’m promising ‘more EC influenced horror as an ancient mystery lost to time begins to unfold’.  I shall be at Bristol all weekend sharing a table with my chum Adam Bolton http://www.adambolton.co.uk/ of Lovecraftian children’s book ‘Where’s my Shoggoth?’ fame.  We’ll be flogging comics, prints etc and sketching for food and encouraging words.”

So go along, say hello, give them food. Here’s a little art from The Grinning Mask #3 by Ryan Taylor….

And since Ryan mentioned he’d be sharing a table with Adam Bolton, here’s a little from Bolton’s Where’s My Shuggoth….
