Colin, David and our other chums who contribute to top Brit small press stable Accent UK have a new collection coming up, Robot Shorts. This collection, written by Dave West (who has more than his fair share of enthusiastic reviews on here), with illustrations by Dave and Steve Holder, is a hardback collection of 192 pages (once again we find the difference between ‘professional’ larger publishers and the small Indy presses like Accent’s titles is vanishingly small in terms of quality of production and the book you end up holding in your hand) and in fact Colin tells me they are doing so well with it they’ve had to do a second print run.

Robot Shorts and the Accent UK folk will be at the forthcoming Lakes comic art festival in October, Comica and Thought Bubble. We have no idea if Dave will be sporting a pair of robotic themed shorts at these events, however. Meanwhile Steve has been having fun with a great imaginary advertising campaign for the book – check it out on his blog, some of them are really well done – if only most of our publishing friends could afford to really advertise like this, eh?
