Emma Larkins is a New York based writer currently running a Kickstarter to help fund her new science fiction novel Mechalarum, which sees a heroine donning a flying cyber-suit for a dangerous mission, and she’s even been out in a model of the costume from the book to raise interest (extra geek points for public authorial cosplaying, I think – there are more pics here). All of which reminds me, it is the 21st century and I still don’t have the personal jetpack I was promised as a kid we’d all have by now.
