Comics: Paddy Johnston on Chris Ware’s digital work

Published On August 7, 2013 | By Joe Gordon | Comics

Paddy Johnston has uploaded a video with audio and slides from the presentation of his paper at the Comics and the Multimodal World Conference in Douglas College, New Westminster, BC, looking at Chris Ware’s digital comics work for the McSweeney’s iPad app and discussing how he manipulates the comics medium in this new digital form. Paddy’s also rather thoughtfully included a link to hear audio of the papers at the conference from Aaron Kashtan and one of our good comics chums on Twitter, Ernesto Priego, which you can listen to here. And a related reminder, Chris Ware is at the Edinburgh International Book Festival’s Stripped comics segment on Monday 12th and Wednesday 14th August.
