Fantastic Forums catches up with Nate Powell in a video recorded at the prestigious John Hopkins university and asks him about the first volume of March, the fascinating graphic memoir of Congressman John Lewis, long-serving American politician and veteran of the civil rights and civil justice movement which Nate collaborated on. It’s one of Top Shelf’s summer releases and has been creating quite a buzz, and rightly so – it is absorbing reading, drawing on Lewis’ personal experiences, from the family sharecropping farm to the march on Washington, meeting iconic figures like Dr King and President Kennedy and the ongoing fight for social and civil equalities and justice. We’ve all heard the phrase “fighting the good fight”, and here’s a man who is a fine example of that. Nate discusses approaching the work and the importance of trying to convey the message:
