Animation: Reaping For Dummies

Published On December 18, 2013 | By Joe Gordon | Animation, Film TV & Theatre

Oh now this one really made me smile – Reaping For Dummies is a short animated film by a group of five students on the 3D design and animation course at Idèfagskolen in Tønsberg, Norway. A trainee Grim Reaper shows up in a desolate ghsot town in the Old West to claim the only inhabitant, a wee, old man, but the diminutive elder cowboy has no plans to go to meet his maker peacefully, setting of a series of chases and traps that are right out of those classic Looney Tunes cartoons. The animation is very fine too – some real care has been taken with rendering the texture of the character’s skin, expressions, clothes etc, it’s funny and it is really nice animation work too, give yourself a few minutes of smile time to enjoy it:
