This looks fantastic; Creature Couture is the new book from Blank Slate Books by Felt Mistress (and here at her blog), a 400-page hardcover, edited by Woodrow Phoenix, and released on the 1st December.

The book collects over 8 years of work by the Felt Mistress; Louise Evans, working collaboratively with partner Jonathan Edwards, taking his art and creating bespoke creatures of all sorts, a menagerie of felt wonderment.

From Demetri the pipe-smoking Yeti, to monster-truck lovin’ Dwight Klugg, to fan-favourite adventurer Tippy Winkles, the book features well in excess of 500 creatures and contains character information, Jonathan Edwards’ original design ideas, collaborations with other artists and more. Also includes interviews with celebrated collaborations such as Jon Burgerman, Pete Fowler, Ben Newman, John Knox, Nobrow and more.

Blank Slate have a big 56-page preview PDF avalable, with selections from every bit of the book – Click here to download it!
