Latest issue of the 2000AD fanzine Zarjaz is out now from FutureQuake Press, and underneath that rather tasty cover by Alex Ronald is what looks like a strong line up, including Liam Sharp (and like they say in the solicit – Yes, Liam Sharp!

Constable Dredd-The Cursed Beat (Writer) Richard McAuliffe (Art) Mark Chilcott (letters) Bolt-01
Zenith-Invasion  (Writer)  Chris Denton (Art & Letters) David Frankum
ToM-C1- Fat Chancers  (Writer) Alexi Conman (Art & Letters) Luis Chichon

Slaine- Tattered Wings  by Liam Sharp (Yes, Liam Sharp!)
Judge Dredd- Moon in the Undercity  (Writer) Paul Glasswell (Art) Dave Thomson (letters) Bolt-01

And that’s some preliminary Zenith art by David Frankum from an intriguing story: Zenith/Invasion by Chris Denton and illustrated by Frankum. It’s a mashup strip, mixing together Grant Morrison and Steve Yeowell’s much missed, oft longed for a reprint series Zenith and Pat Mills and Jesus Blanco’s Invasion. From Frankum:

“Zenith/ Invasion is a clever crossover, creating a new angle without taking anything away from the original stories (I don’t wish to say too much about the story as it will spoil the experience for you). Illustrating Chris’s wonderful script was a fantastic opportunity for me. I am a huge fan of both of the stories, so when the script came my way, I was over the moon. I hope my enthusiasm is reflected in my artwork. Chris is a fantastic writer. He has created what could of been a very complicated script into a sophisticated, yet clear cut, piece of exciting story telling which pulls you in right from the start. Even if you’re not familar with the original 2000ad stories you will easily be able to pick up and enjoy the strip.”

Head over to the Zarjaz shop to buy your copy. (Thanks to 2000AD Online for the heads up)
