Phil Noto's Buffy Portraits….

I’m becoming quite a fan of Phil Noto’s Tumblr. Not so much a fan of his comics though. But his work on his Tumblr shows a grace and style somehow lacking on his comic pages – time? inkers? production? No idea.

But recently he did these lovely series of Buffy portraits:

    Richard, I’ve thought the same thing about his tumblr art vs. his comic art. It’s crazy the difference. I find his tumblr art to be really amazing, and based solely on that he’s one of my favorite artists. But I read X-23 recently, and I had to check it was by the same guy.

    Really stark difference between the two IMO. The pieces on his tumblr just look like he’s having a blast. I dunno.
