March is Hellblazer Month at FP

The movie adaptation of DC’s Vertigo title Hellblazer hits UK screens this month. Constantine looks like a highly enjoyable supernatural thriller and the advance word seems good (those who saw teasers at the San Diego Comic Con were impressed).

The choice of Keanu Reeves to play (normally blond and Liverpudlian) John Constantine and the relocation to the US has upset some fans. However, we’re celebrating not only the movie but the original source material by offering you a rather pleasant 25% off Hellblazer graphic novels throughout March, giving fans an excellent chance to complete their collections or new readers to enter into the dark world of John Constantine and experience the original material.

From Constantine’s origins in the Alan Moore-scripted Swamp Thing some very gifted writer and artist teams have collaborated on Hellblazer, including Jamie Delano, Garth Ennis, Malcolm Jones III and Steve Dillon. We have the graphic novel adaptation of the film Constantine and of course the Garth Ennis-scripted Dangerous Habits, which forms part of the basis of the movie and sees Constantine facing his own mortality in the shape of lung cancer while walking an erratic line between Heaven and Hell – damned good stuff!

And for the serious collector check out the 12” Constantine statue modelled on Keanu.
